Frequently Asked Questions

Does my dog have to stay there to be trained?

It depends on the type of training! Obedience can often be done through private lessons which are offered on and offsite. More intense training such as a service dog program may require the dog to be boarded with us for the duration of the training.

How long does training take?

This also depends on the training. Our shortest package for board and train is a 3 week obedience course. From there, the duration lengthens based on the needs and intensity of the specific program.

If my dog stays on the Farm, can I visit?

Of course! We send regular photos and updates, and you can always come by and see your furry friend in person at any point in the training process.

What if my dog comes home and forgets everything they’ve learned?

We stand by our training! Even once your dog returns to you, we will remain in contact to help you work through any issues and make sure you’re comfortable and satisfied. Often, it is a simple matter of helping you learn how to enforce the commands we’ve taught your dog!

Will you teach me how to work with my dog?

Yes! Whether you select board and train or private lessons, we will work with you as the owner to make sure you have the tools you need and are comfortable working with your dog at home and maintaining their training.

What do I need to bring when I drop my dog off for boarding or board and train?

All we need from you is your dog’s food and any specific medication if needed! We ask that you not send leashes, toys, beds, or anything of that nature as we provide all those things and cannot guarantee yours would not get mixed with ours and lost.

I have two dogs. Can they stay together if I board them both?

Yes! Our luxury suite kennels allow up to two dogs who live together to stay together during boarding, which will lower the cost of board!
